About Us

Southwest Horseboxes specialise in 3.5t van type horsebox conversions, building around 30 horseboxes per year for our customers throughout the UK & Europe.

Established in 2003, our coach-builders based at our workshops in the West Midlands have over 20-years experience in the equine transport sector.

​

Our Van Type horseboxes are easy to drive can be driven on a standard car licence and only require a class 7 MOT so costs are the same as maintaining your car.

These horseboxes are also reasonably cheap to insure.

We only build on Renault Master, Vauxhall Movano, and Nissan Interstar chassis, as the suspension offers optimal handling and the low lying profile of the chassis lends itself perfectly for a gentle incline for the angle of the ramp for easy loading and unloading

We hold a selection of new and used horseboxes in stock which are available for viewing by appointment only at our Bristol Headquarters; for convenience we also offer virtual viewings as well as a delivery service so there is no real need to have to travel to us.
